Aims & Objectives:

• 90% of the total Manufacturers in Pakistan are involved in curating furniture at an extremely low scale in residential areas without any backing of any kind from the government to support their families. Hence the government should restore the previous position of the Cottage industry.
• The furniture retailers require a large area to store their material including the furniture, hence this industry should be provided an exemption of sales tax on the basis of 1000 sq ft.
• There should be a Central Export Committee for Furniture on an urgent basis that should include all the stakeholders of the industry.
• Modern and state-of-the-art Machinery should be allowed to be purchased in easy installments with no interest.
• Furniture City should be established in all the major cities of the country including Chiniot. Furthermore, for the retailers there should be Furniture Malls where they can get their target market easily.
• To derive maximum benefit from the technologies utilized in the Furniture Industry, Furniture Institutes should be established throughout the country to train and produce a skilled batch of workers.
• The Custom duty on the furniture raw material should be reduced.
• There should be a special committee to monitor and control the quality and price of furniture across the nation.
